All tours led by local Historian George Webber performing as General Vallejo in first person.
We will visit:

Sonoma's Historic Town Plaza, an 8 acre natural jewel laid out by General Vallejo in 1835. You will hear the TRUE story of the Bear Flag Revolt of June 14, 1846, the event that makes Sonoma famous in American history.
The Sonoma Cheese Factory.....taste delicious cheeses made by a local family since 1910.
Sonoma State Historic Park....the Sonoma Barracks and San Francisco Solano Mission. Entrance fees included. General Vallejo provides a comprehensive, thought-provoking historical overview of the Mission Era and early Rancho California, complete with fascinating personal anecdotes.
The Blue Wing Inn....Ulysses S. Grant, William T. Sherman, John Charles Fremont, Kit Carson and others stayed in this gold-rush hotel. Grant and Sherman in particular became life-long friends of the General. Hear tales of grizzly bear hunting in the Mayacamas Mountains with these famous Americans!
The Patch....an organic "truck-garden" two blocks from the Plaza, vegetables have been grown here without pesticides continually since 1860.

Bear Flag Statue
The Mission Vineyard....planted by the Franciscans in 1825 it is the oldest vineyard north of San Francisco. General Vallejo made wine commercially starting in 1839; he will describe what's happening in the vineyard during your visit.

A General Vallejo Walking Tour was the last planned event on our three-day fraternity reunion, and it really capped things off. Everyone was delighted with your presentation, and impressed by how much there was to know about General Vallejo and the state of California. In a nutshell, we had a GREAT TIME!

I very much enjoyed the Sonoma Tour. I've been visiting my mom for over 20 years,
and I learned so much in those couple of hours (and enjoyably too!) that I didn't
even know I didn't know!

Many thanks for the fantastic tour! We heard tales of Sonoma's past, toured the Mission,
and in just four blocks were walking through a beautiful vineyard! We've taken walking tours
in Europe, and this ranked right up there with the best of them. George Webber is simply brilliant at portraying General Vallejo. I felt like was meeting the actual guy! 5 star Wow!

Really great tour, George Webber is a completely convincing General Vallejo, and knew so many fascinating stories.
It was so much fun walking instead of looking through a window.

History, vineyards, natural beauty, and a leisurely walk. What a treat! Our guide General Vallejo made this so much more than just a walking tour. I thought about his stories for days!
